What is the best relationship advice you got?

I have been married for 10 years happily, have a handsome son and life is going on wonderfully. Do you feel it’s a constructed story? No, it’s not. It is the reality which we all can bring to our lives. I know the kind of cyclones we all feel during our emotional ups and downs.   It’s quite normal to be encountered with these problems, let’s be frank, we all face it. We all get to a point somewhere sometime that our life needs to be reframed and start with a new go.   There are many answers you would see here, people talking theorems on relationships and emotional intelligence but all you need is few things to practice throughout and have a balance life.   How do we do that?   The way I did.

  • Don’t be caught by examples. There are many people who are continuously facing relationship issues. They are always blaming or they are always unhappy due to the
    relationship. If you get caught by their examples you will never be able to move ahead in your love life.
  • Give some space. It is not important to know each and everything your partner is doing, thinking, eating, imagining, and watching. There should be some space in every relationship to keep that healthy and ongoing.
  • Don’t try to control the other person If you want the other person to walk your way always, keep a labor instead of a partner. Once you have a partner, listen to them, understand them and respect their thoughts and ideas. Don’t ever try to control the other person and don’t let the other person control you.

·         Resolve fast
Every relationship has fights, arguments and difference if opinions. It’s very normal. Don’t panic if you are facing the same. Don’t be stressed. I know very well how it feels after a fight with someone you love deeply, but what you must always do is to resolve every fight as early as you can.

·         Adjust and understand
The other person is your other half but is not exactly the same. They have their own habits, choices, likes and dislikes. If they do something that you don’t like (which normally happens everywhere), try to adjust and understand that they are a different person and you might also be doing things which they don’t like.

·         Move ahead in life
If you’ve broken up from someone you love, try to find other things that loves you back and you feel that it’s good to invest on those people who are good for your mental health. Life goes on!

·         Work-life balance
This is the major factor that can help you have a healthy personal life with the right balance of professional life. Before I became a life coach, I was leading multiple teams in an IT company and due to the responsible position I was unable to give my due time to the family. I felt that they were unable to tell me how they feel, what they want to share and plus I was also much stressed due to the imbalances. Right after I balanced both the roles I was playing I felt happy and my family became contended.

 During my counseling sessions I have seen many people who are drowned in the past, feeling hallowed, emptiness echoing and they have lost the reason to live and dream.

All I want to say is,

Don’t ever feel that it’s the end of the world. There is always a silver lining. If I can do it happily, you can do it too. Everything can be bettered with the right mindset.
